Marking 185 years of its successful watch-making, Longiness has recently announced its new Record Collection of watches. Starting from the small town of Saint Imier by some of the most talented hands in horology, brand Longines over the years has carved out its own reputation in the industry.
Longines watch over the years have been unique for its own aesthetic appeal and elegance as well as for using the mest of machine movements in its timepieces. Even today, the watchmaker continues to carry forward this legacy with its latest announcement of Longines Record Collection that features automatic movements along with a chronometer certified with COSC.
These Record Collection of watches come in different types of Steel models, and different sized diameter casings adorned with range of different dials. Some of thse models also have the diamond studded bezel decoration.
The dial tones are quite traditional with some varieties like silvered with a sunburst finish and decorated with triangular hour markers, lacquered black and studded with a diamond index, black, blue or silver featuring an hour rim made up of Arabic numerals and index, opaline mother-of-pearl and matt white featuring Roman numerals.
These Roman Collection watches come with blued or metallic steel hands for displaying the hour, minutes and seconds. The date meter has been kept at the standard 3 o’clock position.
Based on the calendar design, the watch movements are performed by the calibre L 592.5 which is an COSC certified automatic mechanical movement offering sufficiently big power reserve of 60 hours.
The watches are priced for 1850 CHF for the only steel variants or 4260 CHF for the steel with diamond variants.
